Following the rare occurrences of high speed runway excursions, analysis of the subsequent wing damage has identified that a potential fuel spill can occur on the aircraft. To prevent such a fuel spill Dassault Falcon Jet has issued a Service Bulletin to modify the wing design. The modification consists of adding a sealed boundary from fuel to a small part of the wing in the area of the wheel well, between ribs No. 4 and 5 in front of the rear spar. This results in an increased dry bay area. As a consequence of this situation, the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has released the enclosed Airworthiness Directive (AD) No. 2011-0193, which mandates compliance with the AD before April 19, 2024. – Please review the Service Bulletin and AD applicable to your aircraft for up-to-date information.
