Falcon 6X Maintenance Inspections

Overview

The Falcon 6X maintenance cycle is based on three types of inspections:

  • Calendar Inspections: every 12 months**
  • FH Inspection(s): every 800 flight hours**
  • FC Inspections: every 4000 flight cycles.**

** Check the most recent revision to the maintenance manual for current maintenance schedules and allowable tolerances.

Minor Calendar Inspections

On the basis of “12 M” periodicity, several Inspections are defined as:

– “12 M” Inspection / every 12 months

– “24 M” Inspection / every 24 months
– “36 M” Inspection / every 36 months
– “48 M” Inspection / every 48 months

The minor calendar Inspections are routine maintenance Inspections which mainly include servicing operations (greasing and lubrication, inspections/checks) whose basic purpose is to ensure periodic verification of the aircraft condition, regardless of its utilization rate.

Major Calendar Inspections

On the basis of “96 M” periodicity, three Inspections are defined as

– “96 M” Inspection / every 96 months
– “192 M” Inspection / every 192 months
– “288 M” Inspection / every 288 months

These Inspections may be synchronized. For example, a 192 M Inspection may be performed alongside a 96 M Inspection and a 288 M Inspection may also be performed alongside a 96 M Inspection.

Flight Hour (FH) Inspections

On the basis of “800 FH” periodicity, several Inspections are defined as:

  • “800 FH” Inspection / every 800 FH
  • “1600 FH” Inspection / every 1600 FH
  • “2400 FH” Inspection / every 2400 FH
  • “3200 FH” Inspection / every 3200 FH
  • “4000 FH” Inspection / every 4000 FH
  • “4800 FH” Inspection / every 4800 FH
  • “7200 FH” Inspection / every 7200 FH
  • “9600 FH” Inspection / every 9600 FH

Flight Cycle Inspections

FC inspections must be performed every 4000 flight cycles.

Optimized Continuous Inspection Program

Following the request of operators, an Optimized Continuous Inspection Program (OCIP) has been developed, which is customized for each operator. It covers “12M” Inspections and multiples and “800 FH” Inspections and multiples.

These customized programs are an option available from Dassault Falcon Jet for operators who request it. In order to satisfy a maximum number of operators, two cycles have been retained:

  • High rate of use > 800 FH per year
  • Low and medium rate of use < 800 FH per year.

These programs do not exceed the maintenance task intervals contained in the approved MPD and are presented as an optional appendix based on the same tasks and intervals as the “12 M” Inspection and multiples and “800 FH” Inspection and multiples.
