Falcon 50EX Maintenance Inspections

The Falcon 50EX maintenance cycle is based on several types of inspections:

  • Basic inspection: every 2 months.
  • “12M”/”24M”/”36M” inspection: every 12, 24, or 36 months.
  • “12M or 500FH” inspection: every 12 months or 500 flight hours, whichever is reached first.
  • B inspection: every 1500 flight hours.
  • C inspection: every 6 years.

Basic Inspection

Must be performed every 2 months.

The Basic Inspection is a very simple inspection that includes mainly a walk-around inspection, reading of the maintenance messages, and operational checks.

Estimated Lead Time: 3 days
Estimated Downtime: 1 day

Lead times and downtimes vary depending on which level of service is being performed.

“12M”/”24M”/”36M” Inspections

Must be performed every 12, 24, or 36 months.**

The purpose of the “12M”/”24M”/”36M” inspection is to ensure periodic verification of the aircraft condition regardless of utilization rate.

Three inspections are defined in this category:

  • “12M” inspections – every 12 months**
  • “24M” inspections – every 24 months**
  • “36M” inspections – every 36 months**

** Check the most recent revision to the maintenance manual for current maintenance schedules and allowable tolerances.

Lead times and downtimes vary depending on which level of service is being performed. Contact your Dassault Falcon Jet Service Center Regional Sales Manager for downtime.

  • Dassault Falcon Jet has several facilities that are capable of performing “C” Inspections:
  • The Dassault Falcon Jet facilities have the required tooling, trained technicians, and significant experience to complete the “C” inspection with minimum downtime.
  • All projects completed by the Dassault Falcon Jet Service Centers are managed through the “AMOS” process. A standardized process across the Dassault Falcon Jet Service Center MRO network created to ensure the best results for your aircraft service.

* Check the most recent revision to the maintenance manual for current maintenance schedules and allowable tolerances.

Estimated Lead Time: 30 – 45 days
Estimated Downtime: 20 – 35 days

Optimized Continuous Inspection Program (OCIP)

At the request of operators, Dassault Aviation has developed an Optimized Continuous Inspections Program, which is customized for each operator covering the A, or A and B inspections and multiples. These maintenance programs are an option available for operators who request it from the manufacturer. In order to satisfy a maximum number of operators, two cycles have been retained:

  • High rate of use: >600 flying hours per year
  • Low and medium rate of use: <600 flying hours per year

Estimated Downtime

The lead times and downtimes listed in each section above are general estimates only. Please contact your Dassault Falcon Jet Service Center Regional Sales Manager for schedule and lead time of the total project on your aircraft.
